About The Crimson Order

In a city that breathes secrets, seven vampyre Houses have held an uneasy balance of power for longer than anyone living can say. No crown sits above them. No single ruler speaks for all. Only the old understanding that no House moves against another without the rest moving too.

The Crimson Order is a serialized gothic fiction saga about what happens when that balance starts to shift, told through Damiano, a man of mixed blood belonging fully to no House, wanted by more than one, and trying to hold on to the one thing that makes any of it bearable. It's a story about power, restraint, desire, and what it costs to want something in a world built to take everything from you.

The Crimson Order is written by Joey Crowell, a lifelong artist drawing on years spent building this world through tabletop roleplay long before a word of it was ever written down. It's a companion project to his other serialized novel, Widow's Debt, a pirate revenge story, but this one leans fully into the gothic, the sensual, and the dangerous side of a world he's been carrying around for a long time.
